Semarang (08/05) – In an effort to strengthen synergy and collaboration between universities, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Pattimura (Unpatti) has established an academic partnership with the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Diponegoro (Undip). This cooperation is expected to positively contribute to the enhancement of education, research, and community service at both institutions. A tangible manifestation of this partnership is the Academic Cooperation Visit that took place on Monday, August 5, 2024, in the Senate Meeting Room, 2nd Floor of Building A, FISIP Undip campus, Tembalang.
During the visit, the Dean of FISIP Unpatti, Dr. Wahab Tuanaya, M.Si., was accompanied by several key representatives from Unpatti, including the Chair of LP3MP Unpatti representing the Rector of Unpatti, Dr. Yosep Pagaya, M.Kes., the Chair of the Senate of FISIP Unpatti, Prof. Dr. Z.A. Rengifurwarin, M.Si., and the Head of the Government Science Study Program at FISIP Unpatti, Dr. Mike J. Rolobessy, MT. They were warmly welcomed by the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., along with the stakeholders of FISIP Undip.
In his remarks, Dr. Wahab Tuanaya emphasized that this event was a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) previously signed by Vice-Rector 4 of Universitas Pattimura and Vice-Rector 4 of Universitas Diponegoro. “We hope that this collaboration will bring tangible benefits, especially in improving the quality of education, research, and community service,” he stated. He also underscored the importance of sustaining the ongoing partnership.
Responding to this, the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Teguh Yuwono, stated that this collaboration would be followed up through various concrete activities, including the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. He also mentioned that FISIP Undip contributed the highest number of students to Undip in the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) program. ” Hopefully, in the coming year FISIP Undip can bring 50 students, with 10 students from each study program at FISIP Undip,” he added.
The visit concluded with a discussion on further collaboration opportunities between the two faculties, particularly in education and research, as well as exploring the potential for student and faculty exchanges. It is hoped that this visit will lead to the continued development of the collaboration between FISIP Unpatti and FISIP Undip, making a significant contribution to advancing education in Indonesia.
