Semarang (30/07) – In the realm of education, ethics, discipline, responsibility, and loyalty are the main pillars that every educator must uphold. These values were the focal points of the Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS) reception event at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Diponegoro (Undip). The event was held on Monday, July 30, 2024, in the Diponegoro Muda Hall, Building D, 1st Floor, FISIP Undip Campus, Tembalang.

Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin, Dean of FISIP Undip, officially welcomed the CPNS within the FISIP Undip environment and delivered an inspiring speech. In his message, he emphasized the importance of working earnestly and responsibly within FISIP Undip. “May you be able to carry out your duties and responsibilities well as CPNS to achieve organizational and individual goals, for the advancement of FISIP, for the advancement of Undip, and the advancement of the Nation and the State of Indonesia,” he conveyed to the CPNS lecturers present at the event.

Furthermore, the Dean of FISIP Undip explained that the Faculty had prepared a special program for the new CPNS lecturers at FISIP Undip. This program is designed to introduce them to the duties and responsibilities of a lecturer, ensuring they are ready to face the challenges ahead.

In addition to the Dean’s speech, the Chair of the Academic Senate of FISIP Undip, Prof. Dr. Dra. Naili Farida, M.Si, also provided important guidance. In her directions, Prof. Naili emphasized several crucial points such as ethics, discipline, responsibility, loyalty, and various promotion-related responsibilities that need to be observed. “Number one is ethics, and it cannot be learned in writing but by observing behaviour,” she asserted.

It is hoped that this CPNS reception event will serve as a good starting point for the new lecturers to understand and internalize the values expected at FISIP Undip. Thus, they can maximally contribute to shaping the next generation of the nation with integrity and competence.
