Semarang (06/27) – The Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) is one of the flagship programs routinely conducted by Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) every year. This program aims to identify and develop the best potential of each student within the university, preparing them to become competent and highly competitive future leaders. Through Pilmapres, students are given the opportunity to showcase their academic abilities, skills, and innovations, which will ultimately contribute positively to their personal development and the institution.

On Thursday, June 27, 2024, the opening ceremony of the Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), was officially held in the Senate Meeting Room of FISIP Undip Tembalang. The Chairman of Pilmapres FISIP Undip 2025, Agung Budiatmo, S.Sos., MM, in his speech, stated that this program aimed to prepare students who would represent Undip in the 2025 Pilmapres. ” I hope that you will make the best use of this opportunity because even now you have also recorded in your curriculum vitae sheets to be the best Pilmapres at the study program level, which of course today you can record your achievements to become outstanding students at the Faculty level,” Mr. Agung said. He also reported that there were 10 students from five undergraduate study programs within FISIP Undip participating in the Pilmapres selection.

Furthermore, he explained that each faculty within Undip must later send the three best students to attend coaching at the University level. Currently, FISIP is conducting assessments or selections at the Faculty level to obtain the three best students who will represent FISIP in the 2025 Pilmapres. The University-level Pilmapres selection will be held on January 20, 2025. This activity is expected to be an opportunity for students to enhance their competencies and skills.

The Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., in his speech, also added that in this Pilmapres, the Faculty would provide appreciation to the Pilmapres winners in the form of reduced tuition fees, material rewards, and certificates. “I hope the students will not hesitate. You have to show your capacity,” he concluded, encouraging the selection participants. The opening ceremony of Pilmapres marks the initial step for students to demonstrate their best abilities and achieve outstanding accomplishments in the 2025 Pilmapres.
