Semarang (22/4) – The visit of high school students to the campus is an important moment that not only provides valuable experiences for the participants but also serves as an opportunity for the University to expand its reach and strengthen relationships with the community. The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) proudly welcomed the visit from two renowned high schools, namely SMA Perjuangan Terpadu Depok and SMA Negeri 8 Depok, on Monday, April 22, 2024. The visit from these two schools was a moment greeted with joy by the Rector of UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H, M.Hum.

In a statement, he expressed his delight at the arrival of the high school students. For him, this visit was not just an ordinary visit but a tangible form of cooperation between UNDIP and schools in various regions. He believed that involving high school students in campus visits could provide valuable learning experiences and broaden their understanding of the academic world.

This visit provided an opportunity for high school students to explore various undergraduate programs offered by FISIP Undip, such as Bachelor’s programs in Communication Science, International Relations, Business Administration, Government Studies, and Public Administration. They were also introduced to the curriculum, facilities, and career opportunities after graduation. Additionally, participants had the chance to engage in direct discussions with FISIP students and lecturers on various topics relevant to the fields of social and political sciences.

Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H, M.Hum., also emphasized the importance of collaboration between the University and schools as a joint effort to enhance the quality of education. Through visits like this, Undip strives to provide motivation and inspiration to the younger generation to pursue higher education and maximize their potential.

Moreover, the visit of high school students to FISIP Undip also provided an opportunity for the University to expand its network with various stakeholders such as schools, industries, and government institutions.
