Inauguration of FISIP Campus Facilities for Internationalization Towards Undip World-Class University (WCU)

Semarang (04/22) – The campus is the primary foundation in supporting quality and internationally acclaimed higher education. This has been the main focus in the inauguration of the latest facilities at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Campus of Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) in Tembalang on Monday, April 22, 2024. With the spirit to elevate Undip as a World-Class University (WCU), this inauguration marks a significant milestone in the steps towards achieving that goal.

The inauguration event also invited several key figures within Undip, including Undip’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum., Vice-Rectors, Chairman and Secretary of the Academic Senate (SA), Secretary of the Board of Trustees (MWA), Deans and Vice Deans I within Undip, as well as Professors and Administrators of Departments and Study Programs within FISIP Undip.

In his report, the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin, conveyed that, “the dream that had not been realized before was to create a connected integrated campus characterized by students/guests parking from the front to the back, all accessible to students, staff, and also our disabled friends.”

As a result, ten campus facilities have been inaugurated, including the “Join Us, FISIP Undip World Class Faculty” Gate, Koi Fish Aquarium, Photobooth FISIP Undip World Class Faculty, Panoramic Lifts, Difable Pro Terrace, Paris Van FISIP ACA, FISIP Aviary, PKM Student Co-Working Space, PKM Student Meeting Room, and Meeting Room. All these facilities are expected to support the learning experience and well-being of lecturers, students, and staff within the FISIP Undip environment.

Furthermore, Undip’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum., emphasized in his address the importance of attention to small details such as environmental cleanliness and friendly service as Undip’s commitment to creating a comfortable and high-quality academic environment.

After the speeches from campus leaders, the guests toured the newly inaugurated facilities, which are spread throughout the FISIP Undip Tembalang campus environment. This event was also enlivened by various artistic performances, including a song performance by the FISIP Undip Student Choir and Sakutala, adding vibrancy to the inauguration activities aimed at realizing Undip as a World-Class Campus.

This inauguration is not only a festive moment but also a tangible proof of FISIP Undip’s commitment to creating an integrated, innovative, and internationally standardized academic environment, becoming part of the emerging vision of a World-Class Campus.
