Knitting Ties: Halalbihalal and Tasyakuran FISIP Undip 1445 H to Celebrate World Achievements

Semarang (04/18) – Halalbihalal is one of the deeply rooted traditions in Indonesian society, especially in welcoming the arrival of Eid al-Fitr. This tradition serves as a moment for forgiveness and strengthening the bonds of kinship among individuals. On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) held a Halalbihalal and gratitude celebrations (Tasyakuran) event to welcome the Islamic New Year 1445 H and celebrate the achievement of FISIP Undip in entering the top 500+ world rankings according to the QS World University Rankings.

The event took place in the Auditorium on the 3rd floor of Building A FISIP, Universitas Diponegoro campus, Tembalang. The Halalbihalal and Tasyakuran event was attended by various parties, including retired FISIP Undip staff and lecturer, members of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan of FISIP Undip, as well as representatives of students from the Student Executive Board (BEM), Senate, Study Program Student Association (HMPS), and Student Activity Units (UPK). Also present were several important guests such as the Vice-Rector for Communication and Business, Prof. Budi Setiyono, S.Sos., M.Pol.Admin., Ph.D., Secretary of the Academic Senate of Undip, Prof. Dr. Endang Larasati Setianingsih, M.S., as well as several senior Deans of FISIP Undip such as Drs. Warsito, S.U. (2003-2011), Drs. Agus Hermani Daryanto Seno, M.M., (2011-2015), Dr. Sunarto, M.Si (2015-2019), and Prof. Dr. Drs. Hardi Warsono, M.T. (2019-2024). The event was officially opened by the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin.

In his speech, Dr. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin. delivered several reports on the academic and non-academic progress of FISIP Undip. He mentioned that FISIP Undip had made significant contributions both nationally and internationally. One achievement worth highlighting was the inclusion of FISIP Undip in the top 500+ world rankings according to the QS World University Rankings. Dr. Teguh also appreciated the contributions of various parties in achieving this success, including lecturers, students, staff, and alumni of FISIP Undip. Furthermore, he also mentioned the achievements of several study programs in FISIP Undip that had obtained international accreditation, reaching 70 percent of the total study programs available.

Furthermore, the sermon speaker at this Halalbihalal and Tasyakuran event was Dr. Fahrurrozi, M.Ag. In his sermon, Dr. Fahrurrozi conveyed several important messages regarding the importance of maintaining kinship and forgiving others in the tradition of Halalbihalal. One direct quote from the sermon stated, “Different positions, one vision. Different ranks, one goal. That’s called unity.” This message underscores the importance of unity in diversity and building harmony among individuals.

This Halalbihalal and Tasyakuran event served as an important moment for FISIP Undip to celebrate achievements and strengthen the bonds of kinship among the entire academic community. With a spirit of unity and harmony, FISIP Undip remains committed to maintaining its achievements and making meaningful contributions to society and the nation.
