Semarang (02/29) – Today, the LSPR Institute of Communication and Business engaged in a visitation and exploration of collaboration with the Department of Communication Sciences at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Diponegoro (Undip). The event took place in the Senate Meeting Room of FISIP Undip and was attended by various key figures from both institutions.
Dr. Lestari Nurhajati, M.Si., the Vice Rector 4 for Innovation and Collaboration at the LSPR Institute of Communication and Business, led the delegation participating in this visit. Dr. Lestari was accompanied by Faculty representatives, cooperation representatives, and public relations representatives from LSPR. The activity commenced at 10 AM and was directly welcomed by the Head of the Department of Communication Sciences at FISIP Undip, Dr. Nurul Hasfi, S.Sos, M.A.
Present at the event were the Manager of Administration at FISIP Undip, Andi Widiasmoro, S.T., M.Kom., the Chair of the Undergraduate Program in Communication Sciences at FISIP Undip, S Rouli Manalu, S.Sos, M.Comm.St., Ph.D., the Chair of the Graduate Program in Communication Sciences at FISIP Undip, Dr. Yanuar Luqman, S.Sos, M.Si., several department chairs within the FISIP Undip, and representatives of lecturers in Communication Sciences at FISIP Undip.
In her address, Dr. Lestari expressed her hope that this visit could serve as a platform to discuss potential closer collaboration between the two institutions. The main focus of the discussions centred around research, community service, and teaching. Dr. Lestari hoped that the dialogue could lead to concrete steps in implementing collaboration in these various fields, providing a clear direction.
Furthermore, Dr. Lestari explained that the purpose of this visit was to learn from Universitas Diponegoro, which recently received the Gold Award in the Directorate of Higher Education, Research, and Technology’s 2023 Collaboration Awards, specifically in the International Collaboration category for Legal-Entity Higher Education Institution (PTN BH). Meanwhile, LSPR itself received the Bronze Award in the same category for Private Higher Education.
With the success achieved by Undip, the LSPR Institute of Communication and Business aimed to gain more insights and experiences from this potential partner. Through close collaboration, it is hoped that an academic atmosphere conducive to the exchange of knowledge and the enhancement of the quality of higher education in both institutions can be established.
