Benchmarking Activity of FISIP Unesa with the Department of International Relations at FISIP Undip

Semarang (28/02) – The Faculty of Social Sciences and Law at Universitas Negeri Surabaya (FISH Unesa) conducted a benchmarking activity with the Department of International Relations at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Diponegoro (Undip). This event was organized as part of the preparations for the opening of the International Relations undergraduate program at FISIP Unesa.

The visit took place in the Senate Meeting Room of FISIP Undip and was warmly welcomed by the leaders and representatives of FISIP Undip. Present at the event were the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., Vice Dean of Resources at FISIP Undip, Ika Riswanti Putranti, S.H., M.H., PhD., as well as Chairs of Department within the FISIP Undip.

In her address, Maya Mustika Kartikasari, S.Sos., M.IP., Chair of the Taskforce Team for the International Relations Undergraduate Program at FISIP Unesa, expressed her hope to build a close collaboration between the two institutions in developing this new study program.

Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Teguh Yuwono, provided an explanation about the profiles of the five undergraduate programs at FISIP Undip. He mentioned that currently, 80 percent of the study programs at FISIP Undip have successfully achieved excellent accreditation. Furthermore, two out of twelve study programs at FISIP Undip have obtained international accreditation, while the remaining six are awaiting the results of international accreditation assessments.

Dr. Teguh also emphasized some flagship programs at FISIP Undip, such as the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) and Visiting Professors. Moreover, the facilities available at FISIP Undip meet international standards. He also highlighted the promotional efforts being actively carried out by FISIP Undip through social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.

This visit is expected to be a positive first step in establishing sustainable collaboration between FISIP Unesa and FISIP Undip. Through the exchange of information and experiences, it is hoped that the International Relations undergraduate program at FISIP Unesa will thrive and make a significant contribution to the field of education and society at large.
