FISIP Undip to Launch FISIP Wellness Unit

Semarang (7/6). The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro, recently introduced the FISIP Wellness Unit. The event took place in the Senate Courtroom on the 2nd floor of Building A of FISIP UNDIP, Tembalang campus. It was attended by the Orange campus academic community consisting of the Vice Dean of Resources, Ika RIswanti Putranti Ph.D, chairman of the Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence FISIP UNDIP, Dr. Hapsari Dwiningtyas S., lecturer as well as representatives of student organizations. FISIP Wellness Unit is a unit managed under the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences to prevent and handle academic, non-academic, and or sexual violence problems experienced by the academic community.

The event with the theme “Peer Counselors for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence on Campus” was opened by the Vice Dean for Resources, Ika Riswanti Putranti, Ph.D. and continued with the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between FISIP Undip and the Indonesian Family Planning Association (PKBI) of Central Java Region. This was followed by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between FISIP Undip and the Legal Resource Center for Gender Justice and Human Rights (LRC-KJHAM).
FISIP Wellness Unit includes complaints from the academic community, especially students, regarding issues on sexual violence, academic problems, and non-academic problems which include mental health and bullying.
As a part of the collaboration, the activity was continued with the agenda of peer counselor training for the prevention and handling of sexual violence and mental health to representatives of students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.
