Semarang (09/03) – It is as if obtaining the Gold Medal has become a routine for her in every Karate championship both at the national and international levels. Anisa Nabila Rezky or commonly known as Nabila, an 8th-semester student of Bachelor of Communication Science FISIP Undip, won another Gold Medal (Individual 50Kg) in the Silent Knight International Karate Championship, in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
“This is my first international gold in 2023,” said Nabila during an interview via WhatsApp message.
The student who also enjoyed badminton and running revealed that her hard work had paid off after continuing her studies at Undip.
“I entered Undip through the SBUB pathway in 2019. Because I went through the achievement pathway, the University authorities targeted high achievements for those who were accepted through the SBUB pathway,” explained Nabila. In addition, the target set by the university was fulfilled with a series of achievements that she made in 2022. Some of them are achievements in the Ministry of Home Affairs Cup (Women’s Senior 50Kg Kumite), Riau Governor Cup (Women’s Senior 50kg Kumite), Central Java Pomprov 2022 (50Kg Kumite, and Team Kumite), and POMNAS 2022 (Team Kumite).
The former Pelatnas Karate athlete who represented Riau Province in 2017 also said that the Covid-19 pandemic was the reason for the absence of championships she took part in from 2020 until the end of 2021. In addition, the student with a temporary GPA of 3.50 in the Communication Science Study Program of FISIP Undip class of 2019 said that it took a high enthusiasm to be able to balance a busy lecture schedule with the achievement of a high GPA and various brilliant Karate performances.
In the future, Nabila also aspires to be able to win a gold medal at the PON 21 event in 2024 in North Sumatra-Aceh before the end of her studies at Undip.
