Semarang (6/10) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro along with the Universitas Diponegoro Ranking Office had organized the Ben Connect Talkshow Alumni Network, FISIP Undip To Be Globally Victorious “World Class University 2022: Employer Reputation.” The activity which took place at 19.00 GMT+7 was carried out through a Zoom meeting and was attended by the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr Drs Hardi Warsono, MT., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr Drs Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol Admin., Vice Dean for Resources, Ika Riswanti Putranti, S.H., M.H., Ph.D., Chairperson of Departments and Study Programs within FISIP Undip, IKA FISIP Undip alumni management, and Undip FISIP Ormawa students.

The Ben Connect Alumni Network Talkshow also presented the Head of the Undip Rating Office, Prof. Dr. Denny Nugroho, ST., MSi., Inspector General of the Ministry of Industry/Chairperson of PP IKA FISIP Undip, Drs Masrokhan, MPA, CGCAE., Indonesian Consul General Davao City Philippines, Dr. Achmad Djatmiko, M.A., and Commissioner of National Police, Dr. Drs. Albertus Wahyu Rudhanto, M.Sc.

In his speech, the Dean of FISIP Undip said that the academic community along with alumni must develop and strengthen the Undip FISIP institution. In addition, alumni also played a role in providing input and real programs for the advancement of FISIP Undip. They had the potential and competence to build public opinion for FISIP Undip reputation. Alumni as a product of higher education were an important connection in expanding the network of the Higher Education Institution and students with institutions outside of FISIP Undip. He also said that alumni were a source of information for the world of work and business for FISIP Undip graduates and students who were currently carrying out their studies.

Furthermore, Prof. Denny said in his speech that to become a Research University and World Class University, there were many indicators that Undip must achieve. Some of these indicators were employer reputation, quality of graduates and research results. In addition, Fisip Undip must also haste against 8 main performance indicators. However, there were 6 indicators that must be achieved by FISIP and alumni, namely indicators of graduates getting decent jobs, indicators of students getting experience outside campus, indicators of lecturers having activities outside campus, indicators of teaching practitioners on campus, indicators of lecturers’ work being used by the community or received international recognition, as well as Study Program Indicators in collaboration with world-class partners.

Drs Masrokhan, MPA as the Chairperson of PP IKA FISIP Undip also suggested that alumni must have a contribution to the alma mater. Until then, FISIP Undip alumni had also contributed to FISIP Undip by achieving the target to provide scholarships to 40 students and the construction of a co-working space in the form of a gazebo in the Undip FISIP environment.
