Semarang In this blessed month, the Communication Studies Student Association (HMPS) FISIP UNDIP once again held a Bukber on the Road. This annual routine which took place on Friday, April 15, 2022, was carried out by distributing food in the form of boxed rice and takjil to the people of Tembalang and surrounding areas.

The holding of the Bukber on the Road event is intended as a forum for Communication Studies students from FISIP UNDIP who want to share the love for our brothers and sisters who are fasting through the provision of food to break their fast. The distribution of the food was carried out by volunteers, who were none other than students of Communication Sciences FISIP UNDIP themselves, both members of the association and from outside the association.

Source of Funds Bukber on the Road

The funds used to purchase these foods were obtained from the sale of masks and open donations by HMPS Communication Studies FISIP Undip . Mask sales were carried out on March 10-16, 2022. Meanwhile, open donations are divided into two batches, in which batch 1 takes place from March 18-28 2022, while batch 2 starts on April 1, 2022, and ends on April 7, 2022.

Distribution of Boxed Rice and Takjil

This year’s Bukber on the Road managed to distribute 74 boxed rice. Not only that but it is also takjil in the form of compote which is distributed to the local community. These foods are especially distributed to our brothers and sisters in need, such as scavengers, pedicab drivers, pak ogah (unofficial traffic controllers), and parking attendants

“They look very helpful and happy when they are given food. It can be seen from how they receive the food with very happy expressions,” said Febriyanti Permatasari the person in charge of the Bukber on the Road event.

During this food distribution, several other groups were also sharing food. Therefore, volunteers must be more careful in distributing food so that it is spread evenly.

Study Program Support Communication Studies FISIP Undip

As a form of activity with noble aims, Bukber on the Road certainly gets a lot of support from the Communication Studies Study Program, FISIP Undip. The support provided is in the form of assistance to share posters, both when selling and opening donations. There are also those from the study program who buy and donate.

Hope for Bukber on the Road in the Future

As a form of concern for the community around Undip, this Bukber on the Road is of course expected to remain a tradition in the HMPS Communication Studies FISIP Undip. Not only that, Bukber on the Road may continue to be a reminder for everyone to always be grateful and share with others so that in the future more people will want to participate in this event.

“Hopefully Bukber on the Road next year can increase the number of food distributions than before, continue to run the event every year, and can become a charity field for people around us,” continued Febriyanti.
