Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) has made proud achievements at the national and international levels. Based on the latest ranking results released by the world’s higher education rating agency, AD (Alper-Doger) Scientific Index 2022, Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) has succeeded in occupying the 7th position as the best university in Indonesia.

As reported from the https://www.adscientificindex.com/methodology/ page, the method used by the AD Scientific Index 2022 to measure the quality of universities is based on the number of researchers who perform well at the university. The productivity and performance of these researchers can be seen from the total H-index score on Google Scholar and will determine the ranking of the university itself.

Undip was recorded to have 296 researchers who had entered the AD Scientific Index 2022 ranking. They were divided into several categories, consisting of 24 researchers in the Agriculture & Forestry category, 4 researchers in the Arts, Design and Architecture category, 32 researchers in the Business & Management category, 25 researchers in the category of Economics & Econometrics.

Then there were 65 researchers in the Engineering & Technology category, 3 researchers in the Law / Law and Legal Studies category, 21 researchers in the Medical and Health Sciences category, 25 researchers in the Natural Sciences category, 18 researchers in the Social Sciences category, and there were 79 researchers in other categories.

For the world level, based on the ranking results of the AD Scientific Index 2022, it puts Harvard University in the first position. Sticking to second place with Stanford University. While the third place is occupied by the University of California Berkeley.

The AD Scientific Index 2022 is a ranking and analysis system based on the scientific performance and added value of the scientific productivity of individual scientists. In addition, the AD Scientific Index 2022 ranks institutions based on the scientific characteristics of the affiliated scientists.

With the results of this ranking, Undip’s vision is further finalized, namely to become an Excellent Research University and Undip’s researchers will be triggered to keep improving the quality of research and innovation, so that it can provide benefits to the wider community.

Rector of Universitas Diponegoro, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama SH. M. Hum., expressed his gratitude to all parties and the entire Undip family for this achievement. The ranking result is the fruit of the labour of all levels of the Universitas Diponegoro academic community.

We keep improving the quality of researchers at Undip to keep increasing the productivity of reputable international publications and other scientific works both at the national and international levels.
