Don’t ever be willing to be a victim, hopeless and have low self-esteem”, said the Director of Academic, Student Affairs and Alumni, Hanifa Maher Denny, S.KM., M.P.H., Ph.D.

Hanifah Maher hoped that after this event, Undip’s prospective graduates would be able to train their self-confidence in order to accelerate their careers. “If you can perform confidently, everything will be easier. I hope that this event will open you up. Brighten up your mind, open your heart, and set your spirit”, she explained.

Senior Executive Secretary of LPDP, Tri Susilo explained how to get the Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP) scholarship. “LPDP provides 3 scholarship programs, namely affirmation scholarship, targeted scholarship, and general scholarship. You can find out which of those three programs matches your interest, administrative terms, and your age, that is the one you might want to apply”, explained Tri Susilo.

Tri Susilo added the success key to getting the scholarship did not only rely on luck but also thorough and consistent preparation. “We don’t just rely on luck, but we must fight as well”, he added.

As we had already known, LPDP had given master and doctoral program scholarships for the best students of the nations and commercial/implementative research funding to drive innovation, as well as rehabilitation for education facilities that had been broken due to natural disasters. From January 1, 2020, there had been 24.936 students who had received the LPDP scholarship.

HSE Analyst Pertamina PDC (Project PHR), Gustina, S.K.M., M.Sc., conveyed a message and his personal experience while receiving the LPDP scholarship. “My message to brother and sister who have dreams to continue your study, take the opportunity provided by the LPDP. Especially, this is one of the supports given by the Government which I think is incredible”, said the alumni of Undip Faculty of Public Health.

“You will get a never-ending benefit after you are graduated, and the impact of the LPDP scholarship is truly enormous for our lives”, added Agustina.

The Head of the Undip International Office, Anggun Puspitarini Siswanto, S.T., Ph.D., added that prospective graduates should prepare themselves from the beginning of their future careers. “You have to prepare for what you are going to be in the future. Keep preparing yourself, keep enriching your abilities and then let nature give the gifts to you”, said the lecturer of the Vocation School.

Besides, the prospective graduates were expected to be able to adapt to various places and situations. So that, they could create their own passion. “So, we can create the passion. It depends on how we adapt. In the end, it comes back to the adaptive ability”, Anggun explained.

The Vice Director of Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Nuswantoro Dwiwarno, S.H., M.H., hoped that this training would be a reference for the prospective graduates. In such a way that they will not hesitate to take a step to the next stage. “If there is 1 person who shares positive information from this training to your friends who will also become alumni, it will be remarkable and there will be no confusion”, he explained.

Dr. Nuswantoro Dwiwarno, S.H., M.H., added that the soft skills training was also expected to inspire the prospective graduates after they were graduated. “From the material presented by the speakers, I hope it will inspire you that there is an opportunity for you to be an entrepreneur, or to be a job seeker, or at least you keep continuing your study with the scholarship programs that had been mentioned previously”, he concluded.
