In the academic field, Undip had the authority to determine the direction of research policies and community service, design educational curriculum, as well as the authority to open, organize and close the study programs. In terms of scientific autonomy, the Undip academic community had the autonomy to find, develop, reveal and/or maintain scientific truth according to the rules, scientific methods and academic culture in a branch of science and/or technology.

“In addition to Undip’s A or superior accreditation, with that many students, educators and education staff, it is very clear that Universitas Diponegoro is the largest university in Central Java. With all the advantages and achievements, confirmed through PP No. 81 of 2014, Undip is trusted by the government to hold the status of a Legal Entity State University (PTN-BH),” he said.

Furthermore, the students were handed over to the Dean of the Faculty, the Dean of the Postgraduate School, and the Dean of the Vocational School for further education in accordance with the objectives of the study program. The Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) would be held on August 16 and 18 2021, and Character Education Activities (Pendikar) would be held on August 19-21 2021 online.

“Students are required to attend all events in their respective Faculties or Departments or Study Programs according to a detailed schedule and the participation of new students in the entire series of activities is a must. PKKMB activities in faculties and schools will be coordinated by the Vice Dean for Academics and Student Affairs and several lecturers as the speakers, including BEM (Student Executive Board) functionaries and the Student Senate.

We hoped that new students could follow the orientation period well, taking advantage of the orientation period to understand the learning process, organization and student activities as well as the facilities and infrastructure that supported the learning process. We believed the orientation material would be useful for students to take part in academic activities and other activities so that the adaptation process will run smoothly, students could achieve high achievements and become graduates who are superior, virtuous and sensitive to national problems,” he continued.

Prof. Budi also said that later in the learning process at Undip, students would be directed to take two career development options, namely as prospective entrepreneurs/job creators who were fostered through the KKIB institution (Clinic for Entrepreneurship and Business Incubation); or As prospective professional worker/job seeker who is fostered through the UCC (Undip Career Center) institution which is integrated with the Merdeka Learning Program Merdeka Campus, so that they would be able to become graduates who were ready to work and take part in the community.

“We advise all new students, if later in the implementation of the series of new student admissions there are things that are considered deviant or not in accordance with the educational objectives, please report this to the faculty or school leadership or to the university leadership for us to follow up. We hope that the whole series of new student admissions activities can run smoothly without any obstacles,” he concluded. (Linda Public Relations)
