In order to carry out the Merdeka Belajar program at the Kampus Merdeka, Universitas Diponegoro in collaboration with Bank Indonesia will hold a public lecture called “BI Mengajar” on August 6, 2021, through the Zoom platform and live streaming at Undip TV. The public lecture “BI Mengajar” will present the Governor of Bank Indonesia, Perry Warjiyo.
The “BI Mengajar” activity not only equips the students to enter the business world and which is closely correlated with DUDI (Business World Industrial World) but also a form of Undip’s concern to play a role in restoring the national economy as the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. BPS data in 2020 recorded the number of MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) as many as 65 million. This means that most of the businesses that operate are MSMEs.
The people’s low purchasing power has a major impact on the operations of MSMEs. When MSMEs are no longer able to operate, it is a threat to the national economy, considering that MSMEs are the main drivers of the national economy.
This prompts Undip and BI to revive the national economy by mobilizing and reviving MSMEs that are sluggish as the impact of the pandemic by holding a public lecture with the Governor of BI.
The upcoming public lecture of BI Mengajar will carry the theme “Strengthening innovation, synergy, and Social Care as A Contribution to the Recovery of the National Economy”. It is an interesting theme to evoke the current economic downturn. There will be lots of reviews on how to strengthen the innovation, build synergies and also how to cultivate awareness to collaborate in the national economic recovery program.
For this reason, Undip invites the students to join the public lecture of the “BI Mengajar” event on August 6, 2021.
To enliven the event, Undip also invites the students to give their contribution by participating in the competitions to revive the MSMEs. The types of competitions include competitions to make business plans, quote competitions for empowered SMEs, and posters asking to buy the MSME products.
