In order to support the government’s program on accelerating National vaccination to reduce the very high positive number of Covid-19 sufferers in Indonesia, HIPPINDO-Ministry of Cooperative and SMEs-TNI in collaboration with the Central Java Provincial Government, DPP & DPD IKA UNDIP Central Java, Central Java Kadin (Indonesian Chamber Of Commerce And Industry) supported by Tokopedia is carrying out the Vaccination Center for the Greater Semarang area which will be held on; 28 July-10 August for the first vaccine and 25 August-7 September 2021 for the second vaccine. This activity is held at the Imam Barjo Auditorium UNDIP, Jl. Imam Barjo No. 1, Semarang, which is a form of support from IKA UNDIP Central Java.

The Vaccination Center targets 1600 acceptors every day consisting of industrial workers, MSMEs, the UNDIP community in Central Java. However, it is possible that the Vaccination Center will also be extended to serve the general public in the future in order to reach larger vaccine recipients.

This activity is one of the efforts as well as the active role of the business world in synergizing with the government and stakeholders in achieving herd immunity to break the chain of the spread of Covid-19 and support the acceleration of health recovery which has an impact on accelerating productivity growth. So that, it can again move the wheels of the Central Java economy.

For the Central Java region, apart from Semarang, the Vaccination Center is also held in Solo, which has been open since July 17 at De Tjolomadoe. Vaccination Centers are also held in several cities, including Jakarta (at SMESCO Building), Surabaya (July 29 at Kencana Building), Bandung (July 18 at PJV Mall) and Jogja (July 25 at the Jogja Expo Center).

In the opening of the Greater Semarang Vaccination Center which is scheduled for today, Wednesday, July 28, 2021, it will be observed directly by the Governor of Central Java, the Head of the Central Java Police, the Mayor of Semarang and several other officials.

In addition to targeting larger vaccine recipients from industrial companies and MSMEs in Semarang City and its surroundings, the Vaccination Center Committee also opens up as many opportunities as possible to companies that wish to contribute and support the implementation of this Vaccination Center through their company’s CSR.
