“I started my career in 2009 as an intern at Java PR Consultant, I had also worked at Masters in Communication Studies Undip and Suara Merdeka Group. In 2014, I was accepted as a civil servant at the Secretariat General of the DPR RI as a Public Relations Officer of the Secretariat General of the DPR RI,” said Leidena Sekar Negari, an alumnus of Communication Science, Faculty of Cultural and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro.
“I was interested in choosing a major in Communication Science because I had always dreamed of becoming a Public Relations officer, through many processes, thank God it was achieved. I used to enter Undip through the Penelurusan Minat dan Kemampuan or PMDK pathway in 2006 and graduated in 2013, I took part in matriculation for about a month or two before entering college. I was graduated a bit late because in 2010 I started working and helping my parents’ businesses,” she explained.
“My journey in achieving my goals began when I took my Bachelor of Communication Studies. This was a special experience. Besides the knowledge on communication which is explained comprehensively, we were also given the opportunity to learn from practitioners, namely the guest lecturers who were presented during the lectures. The lecturers were competent and the seniors on campus were very helpful,” she said.
“Education is a foundation as a human footstep on achieving their goals. More than that, we can not only take knowledge from education but also get networking, leadership and become a medium for discussion that can be used for self-development,” she concluded. (Linda Public Relations)
