Semarang-Universitas Diponegoro is still holding the Undergraduate UM online test until July 2, 2021. From the observation until the end of the third session of the third day on Wednesday (26/6/2021), the test has run smoothly.

In one day, the online exam will be held in 3 sessions. According to the regulations, supervisors and examinee must open the zoom approximately one hour before the exam. This is done for the preparation of the test in the form of tutorials, reading the rules and checking. Before the test begins, participants are asked to show the condition of the room to carry out the test. This is done to ensure that participants do the test themselves. The supervisory officer also checks the examinee’s data to ensure the participant’s name and face suitability.

Here are some things that test takers should not do that can hinder the implementation of the test and cause violations, including:

  1. Late to join the Zoom
  2. Cannot log in because the participant does not pay attention to the participant number while logging in
  3. Participant does not want to show their ID Card
  4. Perform suspicious movements such as mouth movements, eye movements and other body movements
  5. Keep moving from place to place during the test
  6. Does not want to turn on the camera/zoom video

Even though there is online supervision, the supervisors really pay attention to the examinees during the exam. During the supervision, officers can also interact if there are examinees who have difficulty. For some violations committed by examinees such as not being willing to show their identity cards, making suspicious movements, the supervisory officer has the right to rebuke. A warning will be given up to 3 times for participants to be willing to show their identity and continue the test. Likewise, if a participant is seen making suspicious movements, the supervisor has the right to give a warning up to 3 times for the participant to continue the test. As for participants who keep moving from place to place during the test and are unwilling to turn on the camera/ zoom video during the test, the supervisor can remove them from zoom. This is because the participants have been reminded and read the rules before the test starts. Namely, it is mandatory to turn on the camera/zoom video during the test and prohibited from leaving the zoom during the exam. Moreover, if it is found that jockeying and other cheating acts are found, the participant can be removed from the zoom and the list of examinees.

The online test is the first to be held for UM in 2021. In practice, this year’s Undergraduate UM online test uses the CAT (Computer Assisted Test) application designed by the Universitas Diponegoro IT team under the direction of Acting. Vice-Chancellor III for Communication and Business Undip Dwi Cahyo Utomo, SE., MA., Ph.D. For participants to work on the questions from their respective homes or areas of origin. The implementation process is monitored by the Undip IT team. If there are technical problems, the Undip IT team will immediately handle them. “Although this exam is supervised online, strict supervision is carried out by supervisory officers,” said Dwi. He advised the participants of the Undip Undergraduate UM online test to follow the approved rules, such as:

  1. It is mandatory to turn on the camera/zoom video during the test
  2. Don’t leave zoom during the test
  3. Prohibition of jockeying, dishonest acts, and committing other frauds
  4. Doing the test questions based on time and time allocation
  5. The important thing is to make sure the wifi network or internet quota is sufficient for the online exam

The Undip Undergraduate UM (Independent Test) online test will last for 10 days. Every day there are 3 sessions and they will be supervised online by the supervisors considering it is still a pandemic. One supervisor is in charge of supervising 20 examinees. The online exam is closely monitored by officers, so participants are required to turn on the camera/zoom video.

It is expected that participants can be more concentrated and fluent in working on the questions by complying with the rules.
