Semarang-Universitas Diponegoro was currently holding the UM online test which started on June 21 until July 2, 2021. The online test was one of the requirements included in the assessment, as well as the academic report and portfolio. From the first day to the third day of Wednesday (23/6/2021) the online tests run in an orderly and smooth manner.

However, there were some participants who experienced problems during the online test. These problems included:

  1. The Zoom app that suddenly turned off during the test, so the supervisor could not contact the participant
  2. Participants who could not take the test / were late because the data entered was not the same as in the system
  3. Participants who could not log in because they had never participated in a trial before.

The online test was the first to be held for UM in 2021. In practice, this year’s Undergraduate UM online test used the CAT (Computer Assisted Test) application designed by the Universitas Diponegoro IT team under the direction of Acting. Vice-Chancellor III for Communication and Business Undip Dwi Cahyo Utomo, SE., MA., Ph.D. For participants to work on the questions from their respective homes or areas of origin. The implementation process was monitored by the Undip IT team. If there were technical problems, the Undip IT team would immediately handle them. “Because this is the first time, it is natural that there are still some participants who have difficulties or obstacles when registering or during the exam,” said Dwi. To prevent any problem, he advised participants to prepare themselves before the test, including:

  1. Set up the laptop
  2. Make sure the availability of the wifi network/internet quota
  3. Get ready one hour before the test starts
  4. Read carefully the rules before the test starts
  5. Obey the rules before the test starts
  6. Do practices
  7. Take a trial to be better prepared
  8. Pray before doing the test question

The Undip Undergraduate UM (Independent Test) online test would last for 10 days. Every day there would be 3 sessions and supervised online by supervisors considering it was still a pandemic. One supervisor was in charge of supervising 20 examinees. The online test was closely monitored by officers. So, participants were required to open zoom (turn on the video) to be monitored by officers. (Utami-Humas)
