Semarang-Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, was holding the Undergraduate UM (Independent Test) Online test for the 2021-2022 academic year. That day was the second time and it had been going well and smooth. Participants seemed very enthusiastic to work on the question after question. That online test was one of the requirements to pass the Undip Undergraduate UM. Another requirement was the selection of academic report and participants’ portfolios.
This year Undergraduate UM online test used the CAT (Computer Assisted Test) application created by the Universitas Diponegoro IT team. So that, participants only needed to work on the questions from their respective regions of origin. And its implementation would always be monitored by the Undip IT team. If there were technical problems, they would be directly handled by the Undip IT team.
The Undip Undergraduate Independent Selection (UM) online test would take place for 10 days from June 21 to July 2, 2021. Every day there would be 3 sessions and was supervised online by supervisors. One supervisor was in charge of supervising 20 examinees. Even though it was monitored online, it was strictly monitored.
“Although it is done from their respective homes, they are still controlled by the exam supervisor. Examinees are required to use the Zoom application and turn on the camera while taking the exam. This effort is made to optimize honesty in the selection of prospective student participants,” explained Dr. Ir. Setia Budi Sasongko, DEA as the Head of LP2MP Undip in an interview last Tuesday (15/06/2021).
In the 2021/2022 Academic Year, Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) gave an acceptance quota of 5,089 new students through the Independent Test (UM) for 51 undergraduate study programs (S1). The 51 study programs consisted of 34 Science and Technology study programs and 17 Social Humanities study programs. The announcement of the final results would be held on July 7, 2021. (Dhany-Humas)
