Undip’s 162nd Graduation was a precious moment for Ijai Pratama Putra, a student of the Undergraduate Business Administration Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro. He graduated with the GPA of 3.88, with a study period of 3 years 4 months 16 days. Currently, Ijai was listed as a Fast Track student at the Master of Business Administration, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Undip.

Ijai was the son of a farmer from Woro Village, Kragan District, Rembang Regency. He was a vocational high school graduate who had difficulty on the funding to continue his studies, yet he had a strong desire to pursue the higher education. Finally, he had been accepted into the Business Administration Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro.

“At the beginning of my study in Semarang, I only had seventy-five thousand rupiahs and didn’t know where to sleep. So, I worked odd jobs. I worked as a Pancong cake shopkeeper and even as a construction worker in order to survive in this City,” he recalled.

Because of his hard work and persistence, he finally received a scholarship from the Rembang Regency Government. He was very focused on the activities that had been his passion. Especially, in the field of Business Plan Competition. Ijai had participated in and won many national and international competitions including the 1st Winner in the Business Plan Competition Management Entrepreneur Championship, Bosowa University Makassar, 1st Winner in the 2019 Sharia Economic Expo Business Plan Competition “Optimizing the Role of ZISWAF and Islamic Sociopreneurship in Developing a Sustainable Halal Industry in the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 “, Center for Islamic Economic Studies, Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang, 1st Winner in the Business Plan Competition” Youngpreneur Equality to Propels Economic Growth In the Industrial Revolution 4.0 “, Bosowa University Makasar, 3rd Winner in Bangkok International Intellectual Property Innovation, and Technology Exposition (IPITEX) 2020, NRCT (National Research Council of Thailand) and 3rd runner-up winner of the National Scientific Week (PERBANAS) Busines Plan Competition 2020 “Millennials and Creative Business Era”, Perbanas Institute Jakarta.

“By studying at Undip, I succeeded in realizing my dream of traveling around Indonesia and the world through those competitions, Undip had supported and provided the best facilities for me in studying, especially in the Business Administration,” he said. “Currently, I am studying the Fast-track S2 program majoring in Master of Business Administration at Undip. Hopefully, Undip will continue to improve the quality and service, as well as more scholarships from Undip. Especially, for the postgraduate studies. So that, anyone has the opportunity to continue their education at a higher level” he continued.

“Whatever we are doing right now, make sure you do it for worship. Don’t just have the principle of living to go with the flow, because what follows the flowing water is only the dirt and dead fish. Be different and consistently pursue the skills we like and have. Then, the world will look for us,” he said. (Linda Public Relations)
