SEMARANG – The Independent Selection or what is commonly called the independent test (UM) pathway is an admission line that is managed by each university independently. In the Academic Year of 2021/2022, Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) provides the admission quota of 5,089 new students through the independent test pathway for 51 undergraduate (S1) study programs.

The registration for the UM Undip Pathway will be opened until June 17th, 2021. The online test will be carried out on June 21st – July 3rd, 2021. Meanwhile, the results of the entrance test will be announced on July 7th, 2021. The UM pathway is one of the four admission paths for new students at PTNBH whose center is in Tembalang, Semarang. The other three pathways are SNMPTN (State University National Entrance Exam – Based on Students’ Achievement), SBMPTN (State University National Entrance Exam) and Selection of Excellent Prospective with Achievement (SBUB) or what is known as the path of achievement (Jalur Prestasi)

The Undip Independent Test is divided into two programs, namely the Regular UM (4,686 seats) and International Undergraduate Program UM or IUP (403 seats). The scoring system does not use the results of the Computer-Based Writing Examination (UTBK), yet it uses the results of the online exam which will be combined with the portfolios of the prospective students. The online exam will be conducted through a special portal.

The material being tested consists of a scholastic potential test (TPS) and an academic potential test (TPA).
