Semarang (13/1) – The appointment of the members of the Management Unit for the Student Creativity and Student Achievement Program, Faculty of Social and Political Science,  Universitas Diponegoro 2021 was held in a meeting led by the First Vice Dean, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin. The meeting which took place at  Ruang Sidang Senat Akademik Undip was attended by the Dean of the Social and Political Science Faculty, Universitas Diponegoro, Dr. Drs. Hardi Warsono, MTP; Administration Manager, Dra. Retno Nur Kadarwati Budi Lestari; the elected members of the Management Unit Team for Student Creativity and Student Achievement Program, Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Diponegoro 2021; and staff of the Social and Political Science Faculty UNDIP. The meeting began semi-offline at 13.00 P.M. through the Microsoft Teams apps.

In his remarks, the Dean of the Social and Political Science Faculty, Universitas Diponegoro, Dr. Drs. Hardi Warsono, MTP, said that in 2018 the Faculty had not been able to produce any PKM proposal. However, around 150 PKM proposals were reached in the following year. Nevertheless, the quality of the proposals achieved still needed to be improved. This was because the faculty had targeted that the PKM proposals produced should reach the national level. So, in its implementation, it might receive funding from DIKTI.

Apart from that, he also emphasized that the advisors should be able to escort their students in determining the aspects, titles, and themes to be raised in their proposals; so that, it could reach the national stage.

In his experience of overseeing the Undip’s Student Creativity Program team in Bali in 2019, the Dean of the Social and Political Science Faculty UNDIP said that the theme which might receive less attention by the committee in a PKM proposal was a theme that was in accordance with the field of study of the students. Meanwhile, a theme that might stand out was a unique and specific one. In this case, Hardi Warsono further explained, a good theme to be raised was one that discussed a phenomenon which was currently being discussed by the society.

Furthermore, he also told the supervisors of each majority to always be active in guiding their students. This was so that the existing targets could be achieved immediately. He also emphasized that the monitoring of student achievement in various events should be carried out continuosly . Meanwhile, the members of the Management Unit Team for the Student Creativity Program and Student Achievement of the Social and Political Science Faculty, Universitas Diponegoro 2021 were expected to be able to focus on managing the student creativity programs from all departments in the Faculty of Social and Political Science UNDIP.

At the end of his speech, he whished that the lecturers chosen to manage the program could bring glory to the Faculty of Social and Political Science, both at the university and national stages.

Retno Nur Kadarwati Budi Lestari.
