Semarang (6/17) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) organized an event titled “Writing Camp on Campus 2026” dedicated specifically to master’s and doctoral postgraduate students. Under the theme “Beyond Thesis and Dissertation: Academic Writing and Publishing in Reputable Journals,” the event is held over two consecutive days from June 17 to 18, 2026, starting from 08.00 AM to 04.00 PM WIB at the PKM Building, FISIP Undip.
This writing camp marks a special occasion as it is the first event of its kind held directly with students on the FISIP Undip campus. Through this activity, students are encouraged to realize that writing is not merely a fulfillment of academic obligations for graduation, but rather a strategic means to disseminate ideas, generate tangible scientific impact, and build an academic reputation at both national and international levels.

The Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol. Admin., was present to deliver the opening remarks and officially commence the event. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of commitment to scientific output productivity and specifically encouraged FISIP lecturers to continuously increase their publication achievements every year.
To bolster the participants’ research enthusiasm, the Vice Rector IV of Universitas Diponegoro, Wijayanto, Ph.D., also attended to provide direction and writing inspiration. Beyond motivation and policy presentations, the participants, consisting of master’s and doctoral students, were also equipped with technical material titled “Supporting Process in Publishing Scopus Journal”. This crucial session was delivered comprehensively by the team of speaking lecturers Retna Hananim S.Sos., MPP., Ardy Wibowo, S.S.T., M.B.A., Ph.D., Kholidil Amin, M.I.Kom., Nadia Farabi, S.Hub.Int., M.A., Ph.D.
Moving on from the material session, the main focus of the activity shifted to the Writing Session, which was directly assisted by the Facilitator Team. This writing activity was divided into several continuous stages. On the first day, Wednesday, June 17, 2026, participants attended Writing Sessions 1 and 2. The activity, which closed at 04:00 PM WIB, concluded with an agenda for progress recap, review, and evaluation from the organizing committee.

Through this Writing Camp on Campus, it is hoped that an effective space for collaboration and discussion will be created to transform students’ research ideas, as well as thesis and dissertation manuscripts, into high-quality publications that successfully penetrate reputable international journals.
