Semarang, June 4, 2026 – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro (FISIP UNDIP), extends its highest appreciation and gratitude to Dra. Nina Widowati, M.Si., who has officially entered retirement after dedicating 40 years of service as an educator, academic, and an integral part of the journey of FISIP UNDIP and the Department of Public Administration.
A retirement appreciation ceremony was held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the Dean’s Office of FISIP UNDIP. The event took place in a warm and family-like atmosphere, reflecting the faculty’s deep respect for her four decades of dedication and contribution.
Throughout her 40 years of service, Dra. Nina Widowati, M.Si. made significant contributions to the implementation of the university’s three pillars of higher education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi) through teaching, research, and community engagement. Her dedication, exemplary character, and commitment to mentoring students and supporting institutional development have left a lasting impact on the academic community. Generations of students, alumni, and colleagues have benefited from her devotion and unwavering commitment to higher education.
The retirement ceremony was attended by the leadership of FISIP UNDIP, including Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., Dean of FISIP UNDIP; S. Rouli Manalu, S.Sos., M.Comm.St., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs; and Prof. Ika Riswanti Putranti, S.H., M.H., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Resources. Their presence reflected the faculty’s appreciation for the invaluable contributions that Dra. Nina Widowati has made to FISIP UNDIP over the years.

The event was also attended by administrators of the Department of Public Administration, educational staff, and fellow lecturers who had worked alongside her in carrying out the university’s academic mission. The gathering was filled with warmth, gratitude, and heartfelt reflections on her remarkable journey of service.
In her farewell remarks, Dra. Nina Widowati expressed her gratitude for the friendships and togetherness she had experienced throughout her career.
“Thank you for the beautiful and warm friendship we have shared. Tomorrow, there will be one more empty chair in this room, but my heart will never truly leave the happiness we have created together here. Thank you endlessly for your embrace, kindness, and affection.”
She also conveyed her sincere apologies for any shortcomings during her years of service and expressed her hope that the bonds of friendship and collegiality would continue in the years ahead.
“If I have made any mistakes or shortcomings, I sincerely ask for your forgiveness. May we always be blessed with good health and happiness so that our friendship and connection will continue beyond this moment.”

Although her formal duties as a lecturer have come to an end, her presence and contributions will continue to be remembered by colleagues, educational staff, students, and alumni. The values of dedication, collegiality, and commitment that she has demonstrated throughout her 40 years of service will remain a source of inspiration for future generations of FISIP UNDIP.
