Semarang (05/22) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) organized a farewell gathering for students participating in the Diponegoro Exchange Experience Program (DEEP) for the Second Semester of 2025/2026. The event, titled the DEEP Students Farewell Party, took place on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the FIMENA Auditorium, FISIP Undip.

The ceremony was attended by faculty leadership, department and study program administrators, and coordinators within FISIP Undip. The presence of these key policymakers underscores the faculty’s strong commitment to supporting international student exchange programs.

In her activity report, Dhaifina Idznitia Apriyani Naimi, S.M., M.B.A., Coordinator of the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) for the Bachelor of Business Administration, detailed the various activities DEEP students participated in during their studies at FISIP Undip. These ranged from regular coursework to active involvement in promotional activities aimed at high school students—a tangible form of their meaningful contribution.

High appreciation was expressed by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, S. Rouli Manalu, S.Sos., M.Comm.St., Ph.D. In her address, she extended heartfelt thanks for the dedication and positive contributions made by the international students during their time on campus, particularly in promotional activities with high school students, which helped introduce FISIP Undip as a World Class Faculty on a national stage.

Meanwhile, the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., put forward several strategic ideas for enhancing the future learning experiences of international students. He affirmed that moving forward, FISIP Undip will offer more courses grounded in local wisdom, such as the Indonesian language, traditional dance, and curricula on local culture.

“When you are in another country, you have to be ready to learn their culture and live in different cultures,” he concluded.

At the end of the event, the international students of the DEEP Second Semester 2025/2026 shared positive impressions of their academic experience at FISIP Undip—ranging from the opportunity to learn Bahasa Indonesia, to the comfort they felt within the campus environment, and the invaluable memories they had made. Notably, Momo, a DEEP student from Germany, expressed his appreciation by saying, “This is a very unique and enjoyable experience.”
