FISIP Undip to Host Educational Visit from MAN 2 Malang City

Semarang, April 7, 2026 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Diponegoro (FISIP Undip) welcomed an educational visit from MAN 2 Malang City on Monday, April 7, 2026. The activity was attended by 67 students accompanied by three supervising teachers, as part of an initiative to introduce students to the world of higher education.

The visit commenced with a “FISIP Tour,” during which participants were given a firsthand look at various learning support facilities available at FISIP Undip, including the library, laboratories, classrooms, and student activity facilities. This session provided an initial overview of the academic environment and learning atmosphere at FISIP Undip.

In her welcoming remarks, the teacher representative from MAN 2 Malang City, Dra. Umul Islamiyah, stated that the visit aimed to broaden students’ insights into university life while introducing them to higher education options outside East Java, with a particular focus on Universitas Diponegoro. She also expressed her appreciation and gratitude for the warm reception extended by FISIP Undip.

Meanwhile, the welcoming address from FISIP Undip was delivered by Dinalestari Purbawati, S.E., M.Si., Akt., representing the Dean of FISIP Undip. In her speech, she extended a warm welcome to the MAN 2 Malang delegation and introduced the lecturers from each study program who were present as resource persons. During this session, participants received information regarding the various educational programs available at FISIP Undip, including both regular programs and the International Undergraduate Program (IUP). It was also highlighted that all study programs within FISIP Undip have achieved “Unggul” (Excellent) accreditation as well as international recognition through FIBAA. The students were also provided with explanations of the various admission pathways to Universitas Diponegoro, including the National Selection Based on Achievements (SNBP), National Selection Based on Written Examination (SNBT), Selection of Outstanding High-Achieving Students (Seleksi Bibit Unggul Berprestasi / SBUB), Regular Independent Entrance Exam, and IUP Independent Entrance Exam.

Following the welcoming session, the activity continued with a presentation on the IUP at FISIP Undip. In this session, participants had the opportunity to listen to testimonials from international students from Russia and Vietnam who were currently taking part in a student exchange program at FISIP Undip. The presence of these international students provided insight into the open and globally oriented academic environment of FISIP Undip. The subsequent activity consisted of a socialization and study program introduction delivered by lecturers from each study program at FISIP Undip. The materials were presented interactively, accompanied by a question-and-answer session that was met with great enthusiasm from the students.

The series of activities concluded with a group photo session involving the lecturers, teachers, and student participants. Through this event, FISIP Undip aims to provide comprehensive information regarding higher education while serving as a means of introducing the academic environment to prospective students from various regions across Indonesia.
