FISIP Undip Welcomes High School Visits from Klaten and Jakarta

Semarang, April 23, 2026 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Diponegoro University (FISIP Undip) once again hosted educational visits from several senior high schools. Over two consecutive days, FISIP Undip welcomed delegations from SMA Negeri 1 Wonosari Klaten, Sekolah Cikal Serpong Jakarta, and SMA Islam Al-Azhar Kelapa Gading Jakarta. The event was attended by nearly 200 students and their accompanying teachers.

The FISIP Undip academic community warmly received the groups as part of an ongoing effort to introduce high school students to the academic environment and higher education programs.

Representing SMA Negeri 1 Wonosari Klaten, Mr. Angga Suhartomo, S.Pd., noted in his remarks that this was the school’s first official visit to a university in Central Java, with FISIP Undip being their primary destination. He encouraged students to maintain strong motivation for pursuing higher education, particularly at FISIP Undip. He also expressed his gratitude for the hospitable reception.

The official welcome from FISIP Undip was delivered by Ms. Dinalestari Purbawati, S.E., M.Si., Akt. and Dr. Agus Naryoso, S.Sos., M.Si., representing the Dean. They extended a warm welcome to all delegations and introduced the lecturers from various study programs who served as resource persons for the day.

During the session, participants received comprehensive information about the educational programs available at FISIP Undip, including the Regular Programs and the International Undergraduate Program (IUP). It was highlighted that the study programs at FISIP Undip have achieved “Unggul” (Excellent) accreditation status and international recognition through FIBAA. Furthermore, students were briefed on various admission pathways, such as SNBP (National Selection Based on Merit), SNBT (National Selection Based on Test), SBUB (Outstanding Talent Selection), Regular Independent Examination (Ujian Mandiri), and IUP Independent Examination.

The event continued with a detailed presentation on the IUP program. Participants had the unique opportunity to hear a testimonial from an international exchange student from Vietnam. This session provided a firsthand perspective on the learning experience and student life within the international community at FISIP Undip.

Lecturers then conducted interactive socialization sessions for their respective study programs. The students showed great enthusiasm during the Q&A session, actively inquiring about curriculum details, campus life, and academic development opportunities.

The series of activities concluded with a group photo session involving lecturers, teachers, and students, followed by the FISIP Tour. During the tour, students were shown various international-standard facilities, including the library, specialized laboratories, modern classrooms, and student activity centers.

Through these visits, FISIP Undip reaffirms its commitment to expanding access to information regarding higher education and providing prospective students from various regions across Indonesia with a clear vision of the academic world.
