Semarang, August 2025 – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro welcomed Prof. Valeria Paganizza from Università di Parma, Italy, as an Adjunct Professor, to support the World Class University (WCU) program. This program will run for one year.
In August 2025, Prof. Valeria visited Semarang and worked at FISIP for a month. During her stay in Semarang, Prof. Paganizza collaborated with the Academic Expertise Cluster on International Law, Transnational and International Crime, Global Politics and Diplomacy, chaired by Dr. Ika Riswanti Putranti. The activities included public lectures, teaching series, workshops, international publication discussions, and coaching clinics for students and lecturers.
Some of the critical events that have been held include a Guest Lecture Series on global citizenship and international relations research and thematic discussions on international food law, fraud of origin, and human security. In the future, this program also aims to produce collaborative publications in reputable international journals (Q1–Q3).

According to Dr. Ika, Prof. Valeria’s presence manifests FISIP UNDIP’s commitment to strengthening the quality of learning with a global perspective, enhancing international academic networks, and expanding Indonesia’s contribution to the worldwide discourse on food security, AI governance, and digital justice.
Through this Adjunct Professor program, Universitas Diponegoro further solidifies its position as a world-class research university focused on international collaboration and making a tangible contribution to science and public policy development in the digital transformation era.
