The Human Rights School event, organized by the Social and Political Division of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro, was held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the FISIP Undip Auditorium in Semarang. This event aimed to enhance students’ awareness, understanding, and active role in Human Rights issues, as well as the struggle for justice and equality.
The event ran from 09:00 to 16:26 Western Indonesian Time (WIB) and featured a series of seminars presenting speakers from academic and activist circles, including Nadia Farabi, Tuti Wijaya, and Sekar Banjaran Aji. The event combined presentations, interactive Q&A sessions, guided group discussions, and ice-breaking activities to keep participants engaged. Finally, participants filled out an evaluation form to provide feedback.
The event successfully garnered enthusiasm from 70 students, who actively asked questions and engaged in discussions, thereby deepening their understanding and increasing their motivation for human rights advocacy. The organizers hope that this event can produce students who are aware of their rights and obligations and are able to make positive contributions to society.
