The last week of Ramadan 2025 at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) felt different. One of the university’s flagship programs, the Master of Business Administration (MABIS) program, was undergoing a critical accreditation assessment. As a leading graduate program, MABIS FISIP UNDIP meticulously prepared for this moment. The full support from the entire academic community, from the faculty to the university level, strengthened the significance of this evaluation, which is expected to positively impact the quality of business education.

This event, held on Friday-Saturday, March 21-22, 2025, was attended by important guests and stakeholders from both the faculty and the university. Representing the Independent Accreditation Agency for Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting (LAMEMBA), two prominent assessors, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rizan, MM, and Dr. Nimmi Zulbainarni, S.Psi., M.Si., were present to evaluate and provide feedback on the development of FISIP UNDIP towards becoming a World Class Faculty in the future.

During this occasion, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs of UNDIP, Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Heru Susanto, S.T., M.M., M.T., who represented the Rector of UNDIP, delivered a warm welcome to the assessors and expressed high appreciation for the meticulous preparations carried out by MABIS FISIP UNDIP. Prof. Heru stated, “Welcome to the assessors, and we deeply appreciate the hard work of MABIS FISIP UNDIP in preparing for this event.”

Additionally, the Dean of FISIP UNDIP, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin, also delivered an enthusiastic speech. “We believe that your presence will bring great benefits to us in improving the quality of education and preparing ourselves for the challenges ahead,” he said.

Also present were other important figures, including the Head of the Institution for the Development and Assurance of Educational Quality (LP2MP) UNDIP, Prof. Anis Chariri, S.E., M.Com., Ph.D., Akt., as well as the leadership of FISIP UNDIP, including the Head of the Department of Business Administration, Dr. Andi Wijayanto, S.Sos, M.Si., and the Head of the MABIS Program, Dr. Reni Shinta Dewi, S.Sos, M.Si. The event was also fully supported by university stakeholders, who provided positive energy toward realizing the shared goal of improving education quality.

LAMEMBA, the accreditation agency for programs in Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting, plays a crucial role in this process. LAMEMBA, initiated by the Indonesian Association of Economics Graduates (ISEI), the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI), and the Indonesian Association of Faculties of Economics and Business (AFEBI), is responsible for evaluating and assessing the quality of the academic programs. During the Site Assessment (AL) session, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rizan and Dr. Nimmi Zulbainarni expressed their support for MABIS FISIP UNDIP, hoping that the program continues to develop and actively contributes to addressing the challenges of modern times.

This accreditation process is expected to strengthen MABIS FISIP UNDIP’s contribution to advancing the quality of business education in Indonesia. Additionally, the accreditation is aimed at increasing public interest in studying Business Administration, particularly at FISIP UNDIP, which is increasingly competitive in the international higher education arena.

This accreditation event marks a significant moment in the journey of the MABIS program, focusing not only on improving the quality of education but also on preparing for the various global challenges in higher education. The full support from all parties at UNDIP is a key factor in MABIS’s success in achieving the desired accreditation.
