The Handover of the Decree on the Placement and Assignment of CASN Lecturers at FISIP Undip: Commitment to Improve Quality Education

Semarang (01/11) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) held an event to hand over the Decree on the Placement and Assignment of Lecturers for Candidates for State Civil Apparatus (CASN) on Thursday, October 31, 2024. The event took place solemnly in the Senate Meeting Room Building A, 2nd Floor, FISIP Undip Tembalang Campus and was led directly by the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., with the attendance of the Heads of Departments and CASN Lecturers of FISIP Undip. This activity marks the faculty’s commitment to improving academic quality through the assignment and placement of new lecturers in the Departments in FISIP Undip.

The Dean officially assigned 34 CASN lecturers from FISIP Undip, distributed among four departments: eight CASN lecturers in the Department of Politics and Government Studies, seven in the Department of Business Administration, eight in the Department of Communication, and eleven in the Department of Public Administration. Of these, five lecturers will serve in the Public Administration undergraduate program at the Rembang satellite campus, as part of Undip’s effort to enhance educational services at its satellite campuses.

In his remarks to the CASN lecturers, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., emphasized the importance of effective and ethical performance in carrying out duties as civil servants. “As civil servants, we must be ready to carry out assignments anytime and anywhere, in accordance with directives from our leaders,” he stated. The Dean also stressed the importance of ethics, discipline, and a high level of commitment to fulfilling duties. He noted that placement within each department, effective from November, would be followed by an internship program until December to prepare lecturers for effectively managing the faculty’s academic and administrative activities.

With the presentation of these decrees, FISIP Undip expects the CASN lecturers to make significant contributions in supporting Undip’s vision and mission as a world-class university, excelling in research and community service.
