The Splendor of Graduates’ Achievements: 173rd Yudisium Ceremony of FISIP Undip Session II

Semarang, January 27, 2024 – The Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Science (FISIP) of Diponegoro University (Undip) celebrated a significant moment in the academic world by organizing the 173rd Yudisium Ceremony in the second session, marking the outstanding achievements of students in completing their academic journey.

Vice Dean of Resources, Ika Riswanti Putranti, Ph.D., led the academic activity report held in the afternoon, showcasing the achievements of graduates in the January 2024 period, totaling 192 graduates. Ms. Ika, the familiar nickname for Vice Dean of Resources of FISIP Undip, reported on the academic activities in the second session, including 11 students from the Master’s Program in Communication Science, 6 students from the Master’s Program in Business Administration, 41 students from the undergraduate program in Communication Science, 19 students from the undergraduate program in Business Administration, and 24 students from the undergraduate program in International Relations. Additionally, she conveyed a message to the graduates to maintain integrity and professionalism, emphasizing that it is a way to appreciate the competencies they have acquired. She also expressed gratitude to parents or guardians who have accompanied them throughout their educational journey.

Muhammad Rifki Himawan, a representative of prospective graduates from the Bachelor’s Program in Business Administration, expressed gratitude to the entire academic community of FISIP Undip and parents for their support. In his message, he described his academic journey as a process of struggle that yielded results, encouraging all graduates to apply the knowledge gained in college to society.

Representing the parents of students, Dr. H. Bambang Iriawan Sardono, S.H., M.H. from the Bachelor’s Program in International Relations, mentioned that the education received is an initial capital, while the next steps are determined by personality and character, especially in self-discipline and responsibility towards others. Certainly, FISIP UNDIP has equipped these qualities to its graduates, as evidenced by the success of all alums.

Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin, touched on the internationalization programs at FISIP Undip, such as the IUP class (International Undergraduate Program), IISMA (Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards), and Visiting Professor. He hoped that through this internationalization, graduates could step onto a brighter path. After his address, Dean FISIP UNDIP emphasized the importance of diligence, filial piety, and choosing the path towards eternal happiness.

The 173rd Yudisium event at FISIP Undip was also enlivened with entertainment performances by UPK Sakutala, UPK Student Choir (PSM) FISIP Undip, and UPK Traditional Dance (TATRA) FISIP Undip, adding warmth and joy to the meaningful Yudisium ceremony
