173rd Graduation Ceremony of FISIP Undip: Celebrating Achievements and Dedication Towards a Quality Future

Semarang (27/1) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) once again conducted the graduation ceremony to celebrate the completion of studies for students in the 173rd ceremony. This year, the historic moment for FISIP Undip graduates took place in two sessions, morning and afternoon, held in the Auditorium on the 3rd Floor of Building A at FISIP Undip Tembalang.

The first session of the graduation ceremony, held in the morning, witnessed the joy of prospective graduates from the Doctor of Public Administration, Doctor of Social Science, Master of Public Administration, Master of Political Science, Bachelor of Public Administration, Bachelor of Public Administration (Rembang Campus), and Bachelor of Government Studies programs. The procession was marked by the presence of parents or guardians accompanying the graduates during the ceremony.

In the academic report presented by the Vice Dean of Resources at FISIP Undip, it was mentioned that the number of graduates in the first session was quite impressive. A total of 4 students from the Doctor of Public Administration program, 5 students from the Doctor of Social Science program, 26 students from the Bachelor of Public Administration program, 39 students from the Bachelor of Government Studies program, and 2 students from the Bachelor of Public Administration (Rembang Branch) program were registered as graduates in the 173rd FISIP Undip Graduation Ceremony.

Thus, the total number of postgraduate program graduates at FISIP Undip has reached 2,306, while the total number of undergraduate program graduates is 16,573. The message from Ms. Ika, Vice Dean of Resources at FISIP Undip, to the graduates emphasized the importance of integrity, dedication, and professionalism in navigating life after graduation.

One touching moment was the speech by graduate candidate Baba Dimas Erlangga from the Bachelor of Public Administration program. Dimas encouraged his peers not to underestimate their dreams but to amplify their spirit and perseverance in achieving them.

Mr. H. Hafiludin Kurniawan, S.H., (Father of Ms. Bianca Alma) representing the parents of the prospective graduates, conveyed a message to the graduates to enjoy every journey in life and to remain enthusiastic in facing the challenges that come their way.

In his address, the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Teguh, highlighted the achievements of Universitas Diponegoro as one of the best campuses in Indonesia. Undip has achieved commendable rankings in several fields, including Public Policy/Administration, Communications, and International Relations and Diplomacy. He also announced that two programs at FISIP Undip had received international accreditation, with six other programs in the process of international accreditation. Additionally, FISIP Undip now provides internationally standardized facilities designed to support these achievements.

The 173rd graduation ceremony at FISIP Undip was further enlivened by entertainment performances from UPK Sakutala, UPK Student Choir (PSM) FISIP Undip, and UPK Traditional Dance (TATRA) FISIP Undip, enhancing the atmosphere of the ceremony.

The graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Diponegoro, the 173rd of its kind, serves as tangible evidence of the dedication and achievements of students and the institution’s excellence in producing high-quality and high-integrity graduates. May the graduates fulfil their roles and responsibilities well within society and the nation.
