FISIP Undip Celebrates 55th Anniversary with New Facility Inauguration

Semarang, 11th January – This morning, the Theater Room of Building C, 1st Floor, FISIP Undip Tembalang Campus, bore witness to the celebration of the 55th Dies Natalis of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro (FISIP Undip). The event, held as part of a series of gratitude celebrations (Tasyakuran), was further adorned with the initiation of new facilities within FISIP Undip.

Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro, Prof. Dr. Hardi Warsono, M.T., officially opened the event, attended by key officials of FISIP Undip, including Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol., Admin., Vice Dean for Resources, Ika Riswanti Putranti, S.H., M.H., Ph.D., Secretary of the Faculty Academic Senate, as well as Heads of Departments and Study Programs within FISIP Undip. Notably, the Administrative Manager and Supervisors, lecturers, and staff from FISIP Undip were also present, alongside representatives from the Student Executive Board (BEM) and the FISIP Undip Senate.

In his address, Prof. Dr. Hardi Warsono, M.T., expressed gratitude for the 55-year journey of FISIP Undip. He emphasized the crucial role of every campus element in shaping quality generations capable of global competitiveness. Prof. Hardi also touched upon ongoing developments in new facilities within FISIP, such as the connecting corridor between buildings and the renovation of the Student Activity Center (PKM), which is also set to be inaugurated. Additionally, he outlined future plans, including the construction of a new building, water management, and improvements to various other facilities.

The celebration was further enhanced with the ceremonial cutting of the traditional Indonesian cone-shaped rice dish (nasi tumpeng), symbolizing prosperity and success. Additionally, this moment was utilized to inaugurate the new facilities within FISIP Undip. The cutting of the ribbon and the release of doves in front of the Student Activity Center marked the official inauguration of the recently renovated space.

The newly designed facilities boast luxurious and comfortable interiors, aimed at providing the best comfort for students engaging in both academic and non-academic activities. This renovation is part of FISIP Undip’s ongoing efforts to innovate continually and deliver the best services to the academic community.

The 55th Dies Natalis activities of FISIP Undip go beyond mere celebration; they serve as a moment for reflection and contemplation on past achievements and future challenges. May FISIP Undip continue to thrive and contribute significantly to the progress of education and knowledge in Indonesia and the world.
