Pertamina Foundation is committed to support the creative research for technological innovation in developing new and renewable energy (EBT). This is a form of support for the achievement of the 23% energy mix which is currently being echoed by the Government.

In collaboration with PT Pertamina (Persero), Pertamina Foundation is holding a competition for EBT technology innovation which aims to develop Indonesia’s a bit of blood in creating the EBT-based technological innovations for the sustainability of a sustainable earth. The winners of this competition will have the opportunity to implement their innovation along with Pertamina Foundation through the PFSains program.

Scientifically, the PFSains program aims to collect the results of researches and alternative energy practices that can be implemented for the provision of energy in isolated or 3T (underdeveloped, frontier and outermost) areas, as well as trying to answer the problem of the urban waste for biomass innovation.

The PFSains competition has strategic value considering that the implementation of the final result of the technological innovation will provide the need of the energy in isolated areas, which are expected to have an impact on improving the quality of life of the local communities.

The EBT Technology Innovation Competition is open to researchers, lecturers, students, practitioners, and other energy activists who have an interest in new and renewable energy.

The Objectives for Organizing the 2021 PFSains
  1. To increase the role of Pertamina and the Pertamina Foundation in developing the potential of EBT and EBT-based technology;
  2. To provide opportunities for the community to contribute in developing the potential of renewable energy in Indonesia in order to help the sustainability of the availability of alternative energy that can be useful for the community;
  3. To Facilitate the researchers and practitioners who are concerned about the EBT in developing their EBT-based technological innovations to deal with the issue of energy scarcity in isolated and / or3T areas (Frontier, Outermost & Disadvantaged).
  4. To bring the more applicable and eco friendlyEBT-based technology to the community.
