*Semarang (18/08) – the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) welcomed a significant visit from the Research Center for China-Indonesia People to People Exchange, Central China Normal University (CCNU). This visitation aimed to strengthen the academic collaboration between the two institutions and engage in strategic discussions on bilateral cooperation between China and Indonesia.
The visit includes various essential activities, including a Visiting Lecturer session with the theme “Ni Hao Indonesia: Chinese Perspective on the Future of China-Indonesia Bilateral Cooperation” which provided a Chinese perspective on bilateral cooperation between China and Indonesia. The session was attended by a nine-member CCNU delegation led by Prof. Wei Hong, Director of the Research Center for China-Indonesia People to People Exchange, Central China Normal University.
Meanwhile, representing FISIP UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Drs. Hardi Warsono, MT., as Dean of FISIP Undip with a team consisting of Dr. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., as Vice Dean of Academic & Student Affairs, Ika Riswanti Putranti, S.H., M.H., Ph.D., as Vice Dean of Resources, as well as several Heads of Study Programs within FISIP Undip.
One of the historical moments of this visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Undip, and the Research Center for China-Indonesia People to People Exchange, CCNU. This MoA aimed to formalize the commitment of both parties to enhance cooperation in various fields, including academic exchanges, collaborative research, scholarly publications, and international conferences.
In his address, Prof. Dr. Drs. Hardi Warsono expressed his appreciation for this collaboration and emphasized the significance of deeper cooperation between the two institutions. He mentioned that FISIP Undip has developed international classes for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and he hoped for opportunities for short-term and long-term exchange programs. The Dean of FISIP Undip also welcomed the potential for collaboration in the form of joint research, visiting lecturer programs, scholarly publications, and international conferences.
With a strong spirit of collaboration, this visitation event is anticipated to pave the way for a closer partnership between the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro, and the Research Center for China-Indonesia People to People Exchange, Central China Normal University. Both parties believe that this cooperation will yield positive impacts in enriching the understanding of bilateral cooperation between China and Indonesia and advancing the academic realms of both nations.
