Semarang (05/08) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) has once again shown its strong commitment to producing on-time graduates as part of its efforts to enhance the quality of higher education. During the 178th Graduation Ceremony of FISIP Undip, held in four sessions from Tuesday to Wednesday, May 7–8, 2025, the study period data for FISIP Undip graduates across various academic levels reflected highly positive outcomes, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
At the postgraduate level, the average study period reflects significant academic efficiency. The Doctoral Program in Public Administration recorded an average study period of 3 years and 7 months, while the Doctoral Program in Social Sciences averaged 4 years and 2 months, both of which fall within the ideal range for doctoral studies. At the master’s level, the Master of Public Administration Program achieved an exceptional average study period of 1 year and 9 months, significantly shorter than the general standard of two years. Meanwhile, the Master of Political Science program recorded 2 years and 4 months, the Master of Communication Science 2 years and 2 months, and the Master of Business Administration 2 years and 6 months.
These achievements serve as concrete evidence of the effectiveness of the curriculum, the quality of academic supervision, and the discipline of students in pursuing their studies within the FISIP Undip academic environment.
At the undergraduate level, the average study period of students also showed encouraging trends. The Bachelor of Public Administration and Bachelor of Public Administration PSDKU Rembang programs each reported an average study period of 3 years and 8 months, while the Bachelor of Government Studies and Bachelor of Communication Science programs recorded 3 years and 9 months. The Bachelor of Business Administration had a slightly longer duration at 3 years and 11 months, and the Bachelor of International Relations recorded an average of 4 years and 2 months.
Moreover, FISIP Undip continues to enhance its active academic mentoring system, implement curriculum integration based on learning outcomes, and foster an academic ecosystem that supports student productivity from the early semesters. These are key factors in shortening study durations while maintaining graduate quality.
With these accomplishments, FISIP Undip affirms its commitment to supporting national targets for higher education and further strengthens its position as a leading faculty in academic governance and educational performance.
