Semarang (4/2) – The Ramadan season, a sacred month for Muslims worldwide, has arrived once again. Amidst this blessed moment, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) demonstrates its spirit of unity and social concern by organizing a special event titled “FISIP Sharing Ramadan,” held at the FISIP Undip Theater Room on Monday, (1/4). The event served not only as a platform to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood within the FISIP Undip community but also to provide assistance to the dedicated employees who support the academic and administrative activities of the faculty.

The “FISIP Sharing Ramadan” event was an initiative by FISIP Undip to spread happiness and the spirit of goodness during the holy month of Ramadan. In this event, FISIP Undip successfully distributed Eid hampers to employees with warmth and cheer. These hampers contained various necessities as well as prayer tools to welcome the Eid al-Fitr 1445 H.

Beyond merely distributing Eid hampers, “FISIP Sharing Ramadan” was also filled with various religious activities that reinforce the values of togetherness and compassion. The event also featured a religious lecture (kultum) delivered by Drs. Aufarul Marom, M.Si, commonly known as Marom. In his lecture, Marom stated that the best charity was given during the month of Ramadan because the Prophet Muhammad said so.

“There are 6 virtues of charity during the month of Ramadan, namely it will bring blessings, will be replaced by Allah with something better, will erase sins, will multiply rewards, will be an investment in the afterlife, and finally will calm the heart,” Marom said. Marom also expressed that the reward from the charity would vanish if it was continuously mentioned and hurt the feelings of the recipient.

The Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin, also conveyed that the values presented by Marom were to be immediately practised by all FISIP Undip employees. “Civilization today can advance if from now on, the spirit of giving or sharing towards fellow human beings is instilled. Similarly, good traditions like this must be followed up and continuously held in the coming years. After we celebrate Eid al-Fitr, all members of the FISIP Undip Academic Community are required to attend the Halal Bihalal event on Wednesday (17/4),” said Teguh.

Through voluntary contributions from lecturers and academic staff, FISIP Undip was able to provide these hampers as a form of appreciation to the employees who had worked hard throughout the year. This was conveyed by the Chairperson of the FISIP Sharing Committee, Maesaroh, M.Si., commonly known as Maesaroh. “As of March 15th, Rp.24,558,000 has been collected, which has been allocated to Eid hampers given to 74 FISIP Undip academic staff including Contract Employees, Security Guards, Program Administrators, Library Administrators, Equipment Technicians, Facilities and Infrastructure Personnel, and others,” Maesaroh said. She also revealed that these Eid hampers were intended as a form of empathy, participation, and love to share with fellow human beings.

With the success of “FISIP Sharing Ramadan,” the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Diponegoro has demonstrated its commitment to fostering a spirit of unity, social concern, and humanitarian values. Hopefully, the spirit of goodness shown in this event can continue to inspire and benefit all parties, not only within the FISIP Undip community but also in the wider society.
