On January 30-31, 2024, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) had special guests from three high schools, namely SMAN 6 Tangerang, SMA Ar-Rohmah Putri IIBS Malang, and SMA Islam Darussalam Bekasi. This visit was organized to introduce the potential and excellence of FISIP Undip to students of the three schools. Representative lecturers from various study programs at FISIP attended the event.

The visit began with a warm welcome from the Head of the FISIP Undip Achievement Unit, Agus Naryoso, S.Sos., M.Si as a representative of the Dean of FISIP Undip who expressed his gratitude for the coming of students and teachers from the three schools.  In his speech, he provided information about the strengths of FISIP Undip, including qualified lecturers, campus programs both from within and outside the country, campus facilities with international standards and others. Furthermore, the lecturers representing the study programs gave informative presentations about the excellence of the study programs and career opportunities that can be achieved by FISIP Undip students.

Representing the Bachelor of Public Administration program is Amni Zakarsy Rahman, M.Si., while Dr. Dewi Erowati represents the Bachelor of Government Science program. Yohanes Thianika Budiarsa, MGMC, stands as the representative for the Bachelor of Communication Science program, and Dr. Sari Listyorini represents the Bachelor of Business Administration program. Anjani Tri Fatharini, MA, represents the Bachelor of International Relations program. The event was skillfully guided by Wulan Safitri, S.Hum, serving as the Master of Ceremonies.

The moderator facilitated a question-and-answer session between students and lecturers, where questions varied from international programs, scholarships, to how to register at FISIP Undip. Students’ enthusiasm was seen in absorbing information and getting a more in-depth picture of their advanced study options at FISIP Undip.

The students from the three schools were very enthusiastic in throwing their questions to the presenters. Most questions were about international programs owned by FISIP UNDIP, including IUP Class, student exchange, and questions about the courses they will study when they enter the Orange Campus later. This great interest was well received by the presenters from each study program. It can be summarized that the lecturers who attended were very supportive of the enthusiasm of the students who attended, to face the entrance pathway to state universities later. Great support will also be given primarily when later these prospective students want to take part in international programs after entering FISIP UNDIP.

On this occasion, representatives from SMAN 6 Tangerang, Latif Pramudiana, S.Pd Fis, Agung Prayoga, S.Pd from Ar-Rohmah Putri IIBS Malang High School and Muhammad, S.Ag from Darussalam Bekasi Islamic High School, expressed their appreciation for the warm welcome and informative event organization. They hope that this visit can provide a clear picture of higher education, especially FISIP Undip, which will be their choice for further studies and provide motivation for them to achieve the best education for their future.
